Abstract:
This paper, on one hand, aims to demonstrate the development and influence of Pound's translation-poetics through an analysis of his Cathy's impact upon the combination between the aesthetics of Chinese classic poetry and the western modernist poetics; on the other hand, it tries to indicate the exchangeable characteristics of the two poetics aesthetics and the significance of their exchange by a textual comparison between the aesthetic features of Pound's modernist poems and his translations, and the modernity embodied in Chinese poems of the Tang Dynasty.
